Initial Consultation
Your journey to rejuvenated skin with Dermapen microneedling at Green Village Medical begins with an initial consultation. During this appointment, our skincare specialists will assess your skin concerns, discuss your treatment goals, and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Pre-Treatment Preparation
Before undergoing Dermapen microneedling, you may be advised to follow pre-treatment guidelines, such as avoiding sun exposure, discontinuing certain skincare products, and abstaining from blood-thinning medications. These measures help optimize the safety and effectiveness of the procedure.
The Microneedling Session
On the day of your microneedling session, you will be comfortably seated in our clinic while our skincare specialist performs the procedure:
- Cleansing: The treatment area is cleansed thoroughly to remove any makeup, oil, or impurities.
- Topical Anesthesia: A topical numbing cream may be applied to the skin to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
- Microneedling: The Dermapen device is gently glided across the skin, creating controlled micro-injuries. The depth of the needles and the speed of the device can be adjusted to target specific skin concerns and areas of the face or body.
- Serum Application: After microneedling, a hydrating serum or other skincare products may be applied to the skin to enhance absorption and promote healing.
Post-Treatment Care
Following Dermapen microneedling, it’s essential to follow post-treatment care instructions provided by our skincare specialist. These may include:
- Avoiding Sun Exposure: Protect your skin from sun exposure and wear sunscreen with a high SPF to prevent damage and hyperpigmentation.
- Moisturizing: Keep the skin hydrated with a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer to support the healing process.
- Avoiding Harsh Products: Avoid using harsh skincare products or exfoliants that may irritate the skin post-treatment.
- Limiting Makeup: Refrain from wearing makeup for the first 24-48 hours after microneedling to allow the skin to heal properly.
